Heat storage capacity

The heat storage capacity of the fireplace material is fundamental in a heat-storing fireplace

The specific weight of MammuttiStone is 70% higher than that of ceramic materials, and this results in more heat being stored in the stone. In addition, MammuttiStone's thermal conductivity in the direction of the foliation is up to five times greater than that of ceramic material, which speeds up the storing of heat. A fireplace doesn't need to be massive in size to be efficient.

The figure presents a ceramic fireplace (on the left) and a MammuttiStone fireplace (on the right) with the same heating capacity.
